Job Description:The role of the Senior Mining Engineer is to manage and provide technical support to the operations team, as well as facilitate the safe and cost effective mine planning and production at KOTH Underground operations.  The role provides support to the Underground Manager and Alternate in overseeing and reporting on overall mine performance and future direction.This role will be offered on a FIFO or DIDO 8/6 Roster based at our King of the Hills Operation.Point of hire: PERTH, WAKey responsibilities will include: Always act in a manner that seeks to enhance the safety culture and performance of Vault Minerals.Develop, implement and regularly review documented standard processes and systems for planning and production functions to ensure the mine is operating safely, efficiently and consistently across crews.Ensure accurate production reconciliations are completed as part of the end of month process, summary reports are submitted to relevant stakeholders and, any improvement initiatives highlighted in the reports are promptly evaluated and, where practicable, implemented.Ensure timely and accurate delivery of daily and monthly reports.Effectively manage change through documented change management processes such that records are available and accessible to justify decisions.Prepare safe, economic mine plans (including stope designs) are supported by appropriate documentation.Complete financial evaluations and optimisations of planning and production activities to ensure the most economical plan is implemented based on available inputs.Regularly challenge, review and optimise mine production using knowledge gathered from previous work history, literature, conferences and or peer discussionsEnsure all infrastructure services (ventilation, power, air, water) are maintained to ensure the safety and health of underground personnel.Conduct regular and thorough inspections of all work areas to ensure compliance to site standards.Provide regular technical review and feedback for output produced from the Production Engineers.Provide technical review and feedback to mine planning functions such that the optimal mine plan is developed. About You:You are a highly experienced underground mining engineer with a strong background in narrow vein gold operations. Your expertise spans mine planning across short, medium, and long-term horizons, and you bring a solid command of industry-standard software including Deswik and VentSim.
